BMO full form in medical term is Block Medical Officer. BMO is a higher job level than the medical officer. Talking about the workload and other things, then a BMO must check the patient in the OPD, and also he/she needs to attend various hospital meetings related to management. A Block Medical Officer is also responsible to check the work, and providing a better work environment to all the medical officers under him/her.
To become a block medical officer, you must have to serve as a medical officer first. After the MBBS course, and the internship, you’ll be able to land a government job as a medical officer. When applying for the BMO post, you must have at least 2 years of work experience. However, candidates with other post-graduate degrees in the medical field can also apply for BMO. The age range is also a factor, you will not be able to become a BMO if your age is more than 55 years. A candidate should have their own place of residence within the 5km range of the aforementioned location.
