FMC Full Form in Medical term is Fetal Movement Counting. It means counting the unborn’s movements or kicks during pregnancy to know whether the baby is healthy. It includes counting the number of times you feel the baby move in a certain time period. Alteration in movement patterns can else show the unborn baby is under stress. Checking the baby’s normal movement patterns can help understand whether something is wrong.

There are two ways to monitor the baby’s kicks, one is to count the number of kicks noticed in 1-hour duration, and the second is to monitor the duration it takes for a baby to kick 10 to 11 times.  By around 20 weeks, most pregnant women will start feeling the baby kick. However, babies move in different ways at different times.
