GMS Full Form in Medical term is General Medical Services. It is used to describe the comprehensive support and services that all patients require from the GP (General Practitioner). HSCB, known as the Health and Social Care Board, is promised to work with Integrated Care Partnerships, Public Health Agency, and GPs and GP federations to enhance the effectiveness and range of all services offered to patients.
GP practices are small enterprises, independent, and frequently functioning from their own premises. They have a responsibility for hiring their staff, including nurses, doctors, healthcare assistants, and receptionists.
Social Care and Health care trusts employ healthcare professionals, including health visitors, district nurses, and social workers. To encourage General Practitioners, many more initiatives and programs are taken forward and implemented by HSCB. Various GP associations have since been established to support and protect GP practices and deliver social and healthcare change agendas.
