MLC full form in medical term is Medico-Legal Cases. MLC is a type of report that a doctor prepares in cases like accidents, hit and runs, family disputes, domestic violence, street fights, or any other case where legal involvement is necessary. There are three levels of injuries that can be recorded in this medical report. One where the patient is claiming to have an impact on the body in the case of domestic violence and a dispute with another person. In the second and third cases, the injuries that are considerable or fatal to the patient can be recorded by the doctor.
In the MLC report, doctors clearly mention the injuries, which a person can use to sue another party who caused the injuries. Police can use this MLC report with FIR and apply the charges. As mentioned earlier, there are three types of injuries that a doctor records in an MLC report, and using those injuries, police can apply charges and determine whether it was an attempted murder or not. But it totally depends on the doctor how he/she prepares the MLC report.
