CTVS full form in medical term is Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery also called Thoracic Surgery. It is the field of medicine included in the surgical treatment of organs in the chest, typically a treatment of lung and heart disease conditions. In well-developing countries, there are separate surgical specialties for general thoracic surgery (including the thymus, lungs, esophagus, etc.) and cardiac surgery (including the great vessels and heart).
To become a well-trained and qualified surgeon, doctors must have at least 4 to 6 years of training. Cardiac surgery training may accompany thoracic or vascular surgery, known as CVT surgery. These surgeons may do a fellowship and specialize in many disciplines, including adult-acquired heart disease, pediatric heart surgery, weak heart issues, heart transplants, and other heart problems.
