What is The Full Form of PPBS?

PPBS full form in medical term means Postprandial Blood Sugar Test. It is a medical diagnostic test done to monitor the level of diabetes in the patient. It helps to identify whether the body is producing enough insulin to help keep the blood sugar levels in check or not. The test is conducted by taking the blood sample of the patient and given to the laboratory for check. The patient is ideally asked to fast for 12 hours before the test and thereafter have a meal consisting of at least 75 gms of carbohydrate and then wait for two hours to determine whether the glucose levels are normal or not.
